About Peter Hansen

Born and raised in Yosemite National Park, California – the son of a park ranger, Hansen spent the first 14 years of his life surrounded by natural beauty.  Perhaps the subtle beginning of his love for landscape and light.   Hansen received early art instruction from his grandmother, an artist and art instructor, in Southern California.  Hansen’s talents developed as he continued to paint during first, his years in the military, followed by a busy career in hotel management and computer sales.

Now retired, Hansen devotes much of his time to his painting, where with “each new piece brings a lesson and satisfaction.”   He and his wife relocated from the mountains of Colorado to sunny Palm Beach County, Florida where the stunning flora, seemingly endless coast line and even the weather of south Florida have now made their way into his work.
